I was looking for something easy and painless to teach my son history and geography but it also had to be engaging, fun and interesting. I wasn’t sure about trying SOS (Switched on Schoolhouse History and Geography) but I am SO glad I did. It is wonderful. My 14 yo son is excited to do his history everyday and spent 2 hours yesterday exploring the links provided in the lesson with interest and enthusiasm. I wished I had used this earlier. We are also going to buy the science. I love it! Another bonus was this was even less expensive than buying it from Alpha Omega directly. So thank you Timberdoodle for offering this great product at a great price!

I am a firm believer in the importance of proofreading! I tell my children often that we all make mistakes, but it is every writer’s responsibility to check for their own mistakes. Just think how much embarrassment we could save ourselves! Editor in Chief is an interesting, fun way to practice proofreading/editing skills in just a few minutes a day. I like the balance between obvious errors and those that take some time and awareness to find. I also like the fact that they sneak in a lot of interesting information on topics my children might not otherwise read about.

Great Product!
This (Easy Grammar Ultimate Grade 12) is a great PAINLESS product that keeps your older student up to speed in grammar. Heads up to parents… I have found we prefer to purchase ONLY the teacher’s edition as it is JUST THE SAME as the student edition but the brief answer key is ALL in the back of the book. As long as your student is not tempted to look in the back for answers I have found this edition to work well. As a parent, I prefer the ease of answers in the back of the book if I need to check one and my students are not distracted by them. It also keeps me from having to order a workbook AND a teachers manual. Good deal!!

I have 2 boys 13 and 8 who were VERY excited to get this gift! They thought they would just jump on and be experts (they both have great balance), but this is a whole different realm. They spent quite a bit of time practicing yesterday after getting it set up and they are still working on balance. The good thing is-since it’s so fun-they haven’t gotten discouraged. It is great exercise and core strengthening- I can’t wait to see their continued improvements.

This product is fabulous! I am using it for my 10 year-old son who has autism and struggles with basic language. He is benefiting tremendously from the combined visual and auditory presentation of language, plus the kinesthetic aspect of using the computer keeps him engaged. I also like the supplementary audio companion and worksheets that reinforce what he has learned during the computer lessons. The price is quite reasonable considering all that the program has to offer.

Rosetta Stone Version 3 Homeschool Edition Spanish (Latin American)
Rosetta Stone is great to learn a new language! We are missionaries and this has been a great way to learn a new language. My husband and I and our children have all used it. It’s almost like playing a game to our children. You start out easy and then it kind of builds on what you already know. It is good in that it “forces” you to actually remember and retain what you have learned in previous lessons. Works well with both Mac and PC as we have figured out! Great investment!

After years of struggling with other chemistry curriculums with my boys, I tried the Integrated Physics and Chemistry program with my now graduated daughter. She loved it !!!! For the first time she enjoyed science. I am currently using it with my second daughter and she has told her friends about this and actually enjoys it. It is priceless to hear your child actually talk about her curriculum in an excited manner. What a blessing it is to have your child understand what they are reading the first time through. I too, am enjoying learning again with her.

Informative, interesting, captivating...
The Biology 101 DVD is informative, interesting, captivating, and put together very well. Our 10 year old son learned much valuable information from this DVD. It matches up to the A-Beka 10th Grade Biology book perfectly. We are very pleased with your History, Biblical Training, Science, and all other materials we have ordered from you. Thank you so much for the many wonderful and delightful educational resources you offer in your catalog. It is definitely one of our family’s top picks for Christian growth-producing resources.
