We like this book a lot! My 1 and 2 year old both enjoy popping the buttons and looking at the pictures. I really like the way this book encourages counting in a tangible way. My 2 year old often will try to “count” very quickly and skip numbers, so when we are looking at this book I am able to show him that there is still a button or two that aren’t popped yet and encourage him to slow down and count each one. Doing this helps him focus on counting the animals on each page before going on to the next page. It is also a good book to take along in the car because the buttons are so much fun to pop! We liked the book so much that we gave a copy as a gift to two of my kids’ cousins.
