Extremely Wonderful!

My older sons LOVE the Extreme Dot-to-Dot books. It was very disheartening to see them "out-grow" doing dot-to-dot books. Although they still loved them, the typical dot-to-dot books were just to easy for them. I was thrilled when I Read more

Curious Chef 3 Piece Nylon Knife Set

Curious Chef 3 Piece Nylon Knife Set

I was very skeptical about the Curious Chef Nylon Knife Set, but have been won over. My older kids (6 and 4.5) happily cut carrots and apples! No scratches, no fear on my part, although of course it is still a knife and kids need to be taught proper cutting methods. Now for complete honesty–I was so skeptical about not being able to cut one’s self that I tried to cut the pad of my index finger. Couldn’t do it. Tried harder. Hurt a little, but no apparent cut. A couple hours later, I noticed a shallow, 1/4″ long cut on the pad of my finger as a result of me basically sawing on it with one of these knives. So there you have it–I’ve done something stupid so you know what your kids can do before getting cut. I don’t worry at all about my kids using these, as they have better sense than to saw on their fingers! And I use these, too–have cut up partially frozen chicken breasts with one. Highly recommended!
