Extremely Wonderful!

My older sons LOVE the Extreme Dot-to-Dot books. It was very disheartening to see them "out-grow" doing dot-to-dot books. Although they still loved them, the typical dot-to-dot books were just to easy for them. I was thrilled when I Read more

And I thought dot-to-dot was for little ones!

Macbeth - Graphic Shakespeare Graphic Novel

Studypod review

StudyPod Black

Studypod? YES, please!

Do you remember in high school, back in the dark ages when you took keyboarding as a class, with a real typewriter, and they had those specially made books that stood up so you could read them without holding them? Well this takes the concept a step further, by being usable with ANY book.  Honestly, I think I’ve found this more useful than my kiddos with me developing old lady hands and really appreciating the chance to read without the hand strain and nurse while reading without having to use a hand to hold a book.  However, this also is very handy for copywork in particular and specifically the Bible copywork books that Timberdoodle sells- because how frustrating is it to be copying from the Bible, your Bible flat on the table, being held open by whatever object is nearby to anchor it open only to have the item fall off and have to find your place several more times…  Why deal with all that when the StudyPod is such a reasonable price!

Manners Made Easy for Teens

Manners Made Easy for Teens

Helpful for teens

Manners Made Easy for Teens is a great tool for helping young people be comfortable in various situations and for helping to teach them to be a blessing to others.  There are a wide variety of etiquette topics and they are thoroughly covered.  I appreciate the role-playing projects and plan to have my 16 yo son and 17 yo daughter do these together…it may get a bit silly, but I’m confident it will stick in their minds!  Really, their manners are quite good, but I feel that this book will provide a “fine tuning”.  One thing you might want to note…there is a chapter entitled “The Dating Game”, but you can easily omit it, if your family chooses not to date.
