A Day in the Life of American Timberdoodlers

Hi! My name is Ashlee. I am homeschooling my 9-, 8-, and 7-year-olds.

My husband is a crane operator, which takes us all over the United States.

I am also in my last year of legal studies. Life is crazy and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our Morning:

Morning, we wake up and eat breakfast before getting our day started.

Our school day can start anywhere from 8:00 to 8:30. This last year I did a mix of online and paper work. In the mornings we try to get all of the serious subjects done: reading, writing, and spelling.

Our Afternoon:

Lunch is around 12:30.

Afternoon subjects I try to make into games or more exciting. We do math and science, and whatever elective each child chooses.

Our Evening:

Dinner, I try to include the kids.

Then have family time after dinner before bed at 8:30.

Just for Fun:

I have my girls in gymnastics and my son wrestles. I love the socialization they get from sports.
