Do you think that you’re the only one that doesn’t have a “perfect homeschool?”

Sonic Booms Explained

Tuesday we discovered that we really didn’t understand what “breaking the sound barrier” practically means.

When two F-15 fighter jets broke the sound barrier (responding to an attempted intercept of an aircraft which had invaded the Temporary Flight Restriction area imposed for President Obama’s visit to Seattle) and triggered sonic booms which were heard throughout the Puget Sound region, we realized that while everyone was talking about the event no one could explain it.

If you also find yourself struggling to explain the concept to your homeschoolers, than you will probably be just as grateful as we are for this short explanation complete with live illustrations!

Real article. Real perspective. Real beliefs. Real person. Can your homeschoolers spot the fallacy in this writer’s article? Are your children prepared to defend the faith?

“Today, I quit being a Christian.”

With those words last week on Facebook, Anne Rice delivered a wake-up call for organized religion. The question is whether it will be recognized as such.

“I remain committed to Christ as always,” she wrote, “but not to being ‘Christian’ or to being part of Christianity. It’s simply impossible for me to ‘belong’ to this…”
